This is a very comprehensive assessment that will include:

  • Contacting your vet to obtain the case history
  • Examining available x-rays, scans and blood test results
  • Discussion of previous and current problems
  • Assessment in hand, on the lunge and under saddle
  • Palpation
  • Motion palpation (chiropractic assessment)
  • First acupuncture and/or chiropractic treatment
  • A detailed report for you and your vet

A dental inspection is no longer included in the assessment. With the advances in modern dentistry a comprehensive examination requires specialist equipment, considerable time and often requires sedation of the horse. If possible this should be completed and any problems dealt with before my first assessment.
